Larry Perry, 80, of Berwick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home. He was born May 20, 1937 in Berwick, a son to the late Jack and Arlene (Harner) Perry. Larry graduated from Berwick High School in 1955. He was an outstanding football, basketball and baseball player for the Bulldogs, and was voted " Most Athletic" by his classmates. Larry attended Bloomsburg State College where he met and eventually married the love of his life, the former Renee Terzopolos. He worked as a policeman in Berwick before becoming a steelworker at BIDA and the Dana Corporation until his retirement. Family came first for Larry. He enjoyed playing golf, camping and family vacations at Cape May and Myrtle Beach. He loved to attend his grandchildren's sporting events. Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Berwick. A loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, Larry will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. Surviving Larry are sons: Wade and wife, Rebecca of Berwick, Shawn and partner, Dwayne James of NC, and Jamey and wife Katelyn of State College, daughters: Amber Harmon and husband, Thomas of Berwick and Deirdra Perry and her fiancé, Christopher Melchiorre of Berwick, grandchildren: Jason and Jacob Harmon, Ashley Zanoline, Tyler Perry, Michael and Marcus Corbacio, and Owen Perry, and great-grandchildren: Dade, Regan, Nora, Adrienne, and Ella. As well as his parents and sister, Joann Perry Fedorco, Larry was preceded in death by Renee in April of 2007, after 49 wonderful years of marriage. All are welcome to join Larry's family at his viewings: 6-8 PM Friday, February 16th and 10-11 AM Saturday, February 17th at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. Larry's funeral service is 11 AM Saturday, February 17th at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Delp, Chaplain at Commonwealth Hospice will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Berwick, 224 W. Front Street, Berwick, PA. 18603.
