Kevin J. Rupert

Kevin J. Rupert, 58, formerly of Bloomsburg, began eternal life with his Savior Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Wilmington Hospital, Wilmington, DE.Husband, Daddy, and brother, he was born in Bloomsburg October 27, 1958 the son of the late Keith and Ella (Warr) Rupert. Kevin was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, Lancaster Bible College, and Denver Conservative Baptist Seminary. He served as pastor at Eden Mennonite Church in Schwenksville, PA. and Lighthouse Bible Church in Bangor, PA. Most recently, he worked as an insurance subrogator for Farmers and Allstate insurance companies. His interests included cooking, Penn State football , and the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He was a member of the champion Lime Ridge Little League Team of the 1960's. An avid gardener, people often sought his advice for their gardening dilemmas. His wife referred to him as the "over-zealous gardener." Kevin was a kind and gentle man. His family will greatly miss playing games together, especially Linkee, and just spending time together. Surviving Kevin is his loving wife of 25 years, Annette (Irwin) Rupert of Wilmington. Also surviving is his daughter, Hanna, at home, and sister, Candace of Bloomsburg. As well as his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Rupert, Jr. in 1991. A memorial service celebrating Kevin's life will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 30 at the Lime Ridge Methodist Church. Mr. Todd Henley and Reverend Ben Scott will serve as the celebrants. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until time of the service.
