Kent A. Kissinger, Sr.

January 1, 1941 — June 17, 2018

Kent A. Kissinger, Sr., 77, of Drums, formerly of Bloomsburg and Berwick, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Born in Berwick January 1, 1941, he was a son to the late Elmer and Bernice (Dent) Kissinger. Kent was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1958. Following graduation, he enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Kent was employed by Bristol Myers, Proctor & Gamble, and Weis Markets, as well as the owner of the former Kissinger's Paint and Wallpaper, and retired from the Berwick Post Office. Mr. Kissinger attended the Columbia-Montour campus of LCBC Church. In his younger years, Kent was an avid fisherman and competitive archer. He enjoyed Scrabble and Words With Friends, and loved home improvement projects. His greatest joy was time spent with his family, with whom he shared his hobbies. Surviving Kent is his loving wife of 54 years, the former Karen Kishbaugh. Also surviving are sons: Kent A. Kissinger, Jr. of GA, Kraig V. Kissinger and husband, Mark S. Brown, of MA, and Richard K. Kissinger of UT, daughters: K. Mary Jaronski and husband, Tony, of Gilbertsville and Sarina L. Kissinger of NJ, grandchildren: Randy Francis, Ben Francis, Jr., Kierstin May, Janina Jaronski, and Karolena Jaronski, great-grandchildren: Maddielynn Francis, Raiden Francis, and Ben Francis III, and sister Joan Creasy. In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by a daughter: Kimberly Vanessa Francis. Kent's services are private.
