Katie Lynn Kerbacher

Katie Lynn Kerbacher, 26 of Berwick, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Berwick Hospital Center. She was born January 28, 1987 in York, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Dr. Daniel J. and Deborah (Brennen) Kerbacher. Katie was an aspiring singer. She sang lead for a song to be aired in an episode of The Choir. She also participated in the Berwick High School Chorus and sang the National Anthem at the Bloomsburg Fair several times. Her ambition was to start her own business in music. Katie also had a real love of animals, especially her three dogs: Princess, Dolly, and Ruby. As well as her parents, she is survived by her sister, Amy T. Kerbacher of Selinsgrove, brothers: Daniel B. Kerbacher of Philadelphia and Brian C. Kerbacher and his wife, Kristi of Bloomsburg, and paternal grandmother, Hilda J. Kerbacher of Catasaqua, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Daniel S. Kerbacher and maternal grandparents, Catherine and Robert Brennen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 noon Monday, September 30, 2013 at St. Mary\'s Church, 1730 Fowler Avenue, Berwick. Father Francis Tamburo will serve as the celebrant. Friends can call at the church from 10:30 until time of the service. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. Contributions in Katie\'s memory can be sent to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. 20004.
