Kathy Jane Knorr Forsythe, beloved wife of the late Warren Eugene (Gene) Forsythe (2/18/2015), passed on to heaven on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Kathy was the daughter of Robert Knorr and the late Marjorie (Farver) Knorr. She was greatly loved by her many relatives and friends who shared in her celebrations and struggles throughout her life and will be dearly missed. Kathy spent most of her childhood in Lewisburg, PA and adulthood in Berwick. After graduating high school from State College HS, Kathy completed advanced studies in Cosmetology and achieved tremendous success as a colorist and salon products sales representative with Wella Corporation. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and boating with Gene. After retirement, Kathy and Gene spent their time traveling as members of the International Airstream Club. She became president of the local Penn-Lehigh unit. She was officer-VP and President of Region 2 from 2008-2013. Additionally, she was co-chairperson of the Kitchen Committee at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Early in life she was in the Rainbow Girls, and later belonged to the Eastern Star. She also loved her dogs: Kagen and Stormy. After a successful initial battle with cancer in 2015, Kathy became very active at the YMCA and made many new friends. She completed the Livestrong program and participated this fall in the Ironman Challenge. Kathy had a personality that was larger than life. Guess that's why God called her home early. All are welcome to join Kathy's family for her funeral 11:00 AM Monday, February 11 at Bethel Bible Church, 1940 Fairview Avenue, Berwick. Pastor Richard Thomas will officiate. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
