Kathryn Elaine (Rockwell) Frey, 85, of Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Bloomsburg on June 20, 1937, she was a daughter to the late Ludlum H. Rockwell, Sr. and Helen (Reeder) Rockwell Seponski.
Kathryn attended Bloomsburg area schools. She had worked for many years at the Magee Carpet Company. Later, she worked for Columbia Montour Home Health and the Columbia Montour Aging Office, from which she retired in 1999. Her greatest joy, however, was her family, by whom she will be deeply missed.
Surviving Kathryn is her son, John E. Frey, Jr. and wife, Pamela; daughter-in-law, Margie Crawford Frey; grandson, Trent Frey and fiancée, Amanda Goy; sister, Beverly Keller; and several nieces.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her loving husband, John E. Frey, Sr., who passed away in 1989 after 34 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by son, Floyd E. “Rags” Frey; brothers: Ludlum H. Rockwell, Jr. and Robert “Bobby” Rockwell; sister, Betty “Minny” Steward; and half-brother, Charles Fanning.
