John Franklin Bower, Sr., 69, of Berwick, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Berwick July 29, 1950, he was a son of the late Joseph Henry and Bess (Zettle) Bower. John was a graduate of Berwick Area High School, Class of 1968. He obtained his Bachelors in Engineering from Penn State University and was a graduate of Framingham State for business. He continued his education, obtaining his MBA from DeSales University. John worked 38 years at Quest Diagnostics, from which he retired in 2017, and earned his Lean Sigma Six Black Belt. He was a member of Bower Memorial United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, served as a trustee, and was a member of the outreach program. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching and rooting for his grandkids at their sporting events, hunting with his friends and family, attending all of the Berwick High School football games, golfing with friends, his church, and his dogs. Surviving John is his loving wife of 40 years, the former Connie Creasy. He is additionally survived by son: John Bower, Jr., daughters: Kimberly Collucci and husband, Glenn, and Theresa Curry and husband, Steven, grandchildren: Brandon, Richard, Lilianna, Matthew, and Joseph, sisters-in-law: Mary Katherine Bower and Randy Sharrow, and niece Melanie Karpinski and husband, David. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by daughter: Jennifer Bower, brother: Joseph Bower, and niece: Angela Sharrow. Third Street, Berwick and from 10:00 AM until the time of his funeral, 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 14, at Bower Memorial United Methodist Church, 140 E. Second Street, Berwick.
