Janet Lee Dendler, 81, of Berwick, passed away peacefully at her home and in the company of her family Thursday, April 16, 2020. Born in Berwick December 24, 1938, she was a daughter to the late Harry and Florence "Polly" (Stiner) Dendler. Janet graduated from Mifflinville High School in 1956. Afterward, she proudly served in the United States Army. Janet was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. She also worked for American Diaper Service and was an editorial assistant at Farm Journal. Janet had been a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She loved spending time with her family and friends, by whom she will be greatly missed. Parcheesi was among her favorite pastimes. She also loved animals, especially her cats. Surviving Janet are her brothers: Richard Dendler and wife, Angela, of Orangeville and Randall Dendler of Berwick, sisters: Linda Pollock of Berwick and Amy Morris and husband, Jerry, of VA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Dendler, and a sister, Sue Ann Dendler. As a result of the current pandemic restrictions, Janet's interment at Elan Memorial Park in Bloomsburg will be private.
