Jane (Herbine) Major

Jane Major died suddenly on July 9, 2024 in Columbia, Missouri. She was 98 years old. Born on May 27, 1926 in Berwick Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Albert Frederick and Mary Beatrice Faust Herbine.

On June 12, 1946 she married Glenn Major who preceded her in death in 1996. A few years after the death of her husband in 1996 Jane relocated to Florida and then later moved to Columbia, Missouri. While living in Florida, Jane was able to travel extensively and enjoyed taking cruises. She was an avid reader her entire life and often read six books weekly up until her death.

She is survived by her two sons, Brian in Elysburg, PA and Mark in Columbia, MO and their families.
