James Richard Siegel

James Richard Siegel, 78, of Berwick, passed away peacefully October 8, 2025 at his home and with his family at his side. Born in Berwick on October 26, 1946, he was a son to the late Raymond Eugene and Alice Mae (Klingerman) Siegel.

Mr. Siegel was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1964. On June 20 of that same year he married the love of his life, the former Brenda P. Nielson. Together they raised their family and shared 61 years of marriage. Jim had worked as a plumber his entire working career and owned and operated his business, Siegel Plumbing and Heating for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing for pike and walleye in Canada, spending time at his cabin in Starlight, PA, and hunting, especially turkey hunting. In his younger years, he was a league bowler and liked to golf. Jim loved animals and spending time with his dog, Daisy.

Surviving Jim are his wife, Brenda P. (Nielson) Siegel; children: Carolann Bordwell and David Law, of Blythewood, SC, Christopher James Siegel and wife, Melissa, of Berwick, and Todd Richard Siegel and wife, Nicole, of Berwick; and grandchildren: Brandon, Ryan, Kelsey, Hanna, Cody James, Kyrstine, Alyssa, Samantha, Brooke, and Morgan.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by daughter, Bethann Woodell, son, Brett Eugene Siegel, and brother, Raymond Lee Siegel.

Jim’s services are private and at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Center, 1467 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821 or to the Salvation Army Berwick Corps, 320 W.
