James Dale Fox

James D. Fox, 62 of Berwick, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 10, 1952 in Berwick, a son to the late Dale Fox and Shirley Meighan Fenstermacher. A graduate of Berwick High School and Bloomsburg State College with a Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration, he worked for Wise Snack Foods for forty-five years. Since 1976, Jim was very active in the Ranger Hose Company of Berwick. He served as a Captain, Line Officer, 2nd Lieutenant, Assistant Chief and Chief as well as holding various other positions, including the administration of the Firemen\'s Relief Fund. He also was an active board member of the Berwick YMCA for over fifteen years. Basketball, golf and bowling were among the activities he most enjoyed. Surviving are his loving wife of forty years, Cecilia Mattive Fox, two sons: Glen Traugh and his wife, Kristy of OH. and Clayton Traugh of N.Y., daughter, Linda Montes of Berwick, seven grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as \"Pop-Pop:\" Cejay, Shaylee, Hunter, Mason, Eric, Jordan, and Brady, brother, Randy Fox and his wife, Gail of Millville, sister, Kathleen Nunes and her husband, Egidio of VA., and half-brother, Mark Fenstermacher and his wife, Libby of Fl. Visitation is Friday 5-8 PM at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. His funeral is 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Bixler will serve as the officiant.
