Jack Richard Heckman, Jr., 48, of Wilkes-Barre, PA. died unexpectedly Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, succumbing to injuries after being stricken by a motor vehicle while riding his bike on Thursday, June 14th. He was born August 12, 1969 in Kingston, PA. a son to the late Jack R. Heckman, Sr. of Nescopeck, PA. and Barbara (Petrishin) Henne of Benton, PA. Jack was a graduate of Berwick High School in 1987. He held a CDL and enjoyed trucking in his earlier years. He most recently worked as a Quality Control Specialist at Choice Canning through Spherion, Inc. in Pittston, PA. He was an avid Yankees fan and also enjoyed fishing. Jack loved people and was a great conversationalist, often the "Life of the Party." He had a charismatic personality and was loved by many. Most of all, and most importantly, in the last years he truly loved Jesus Christ. Surviving Jack is his daughter, Kiah Lynn Johnson of Sugar Run, PA. Additionally surviving are sister, Jacqueline Woodward and husband, Emerson "Jake"; niece, Helen LeClair; and nephew, Emerson "L J" all of Bloomsburg, PA., and step-mother, Joan Creasy of Danville, PA. Jack's celebration of life will be at 6:00 PM Friday, June29th at Bethany United Methodist Church, 116 Summerhill Ave., Berwick. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until time of the Service.
