Jack Canouse, 86 of Bloomsburg, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Elmcroft of Berwick, where he recently had become a resident. He was born October 17, 1929 in Berwick, a son to the late David and Ruth (McAfee) Canouse. Jack was a "proud Marine," having served in the Corps for four years prior to working as a sales man for the Kawneer Corporation until his retirement. He was a member of the Berwick Elks and the Ranger Fire Company. Playing golf and following football, especially the Berwick Bulldogs and the New England Patriots, were among his favorite pastimes. Surviving is his wife of over 40 years, the former Derlene Keller, daughter, Jackie Davis and her husband, Wayne of MN., sons: Lewis Canouse and his wife, Kathy of Blue Bell and Barry Canouse and his wife, Lisa of Berwick, seven grandchildren, and sister, Martha Manganaro of Berwick. As well as his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Harriet and Ruthann. Respecting Jack's wishes, services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
