Ida Wesstrom, 78 of South Centre Township, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with her family at her side. She was born in London, England August 16, 1935, a daughter to William and Ida Price. On July 4, 1973, Ida came to America and has lived here ever since. A devoted wife and mother, she had a knack for bringing out the best in people. She never spoke a bad word about anyone. Cooking, golf, camping, traveling, sailing, observing and caring for animals, and gardening were among her favorite pastimes. Ida was proud of her British heritage. Black tea was her beverage of choice. Surviving Ida are her loving husband of 61 years, Fred, 4 sons: William and his wife, Tracey of York, Martin and his wife, Mary of Wilkes-Barre, Robin of Bloomsburg, and Antony and his wife, Tamara of Reading, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and a brother, William. As well as her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters: Rosa and Roma. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
