Helen Jane Knorr

Helen J. Knorr, 88 of Bloomsburg, went to her Lord and Savior Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Bloomsburg Hospital Emergency Room. She was born January 21, 1927 in Fern Glen, PA., the daughter of the late William and Edna (Kamerzel) Berger. A homemaker for most of her adult life, she was an excellent seamstress and cook. Surviving Helen are her sons; Edward Knorr and his wife, Susan of Bloomsburg and Gilbert Knorr of New York, daughter; Carol J. Temple of Bloomsburg, granddaughters; Katherine and Kelly Knorr of Bloomsburg, great-grandchildren; Brittany, Kirsten, Kylie, and Trista, and sisters; Betty of CT., Ilamae of Rock Glen, Jean of Nuremberg, and Joyce of Drums. As well as her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of over forty years, Clair Knorr. Also preceding were grandson, Christopher Temple and sisters; Ruth and Dolly. Helen's funeral is 2:00 PM Thursday, July 9 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Helen's nephew, Rev. William Zimmerman will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Drums, PA.
