Helen Chest

Helen M. Chest, 79 of Sweet Valley, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 2014 at her home after a long and courageous battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Born on December 29, 1934 in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Iva (Mitchell) Naus. Helen worked for years as a seamstress in the garment industry. She is survived by a son, Jeff and his wife, Kristen Martz of Benton, a daughter, Sharon and her husband, Larry Frost of Hunlock Creek, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brothers: Charles and Sonny Naus of Berwick, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service is 11:00 AM Friday, January 31, 2014 at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Burial will follow at the Mifflinville Cemetery.
