Helen A. Collins

Helen A. “Audrey” (Whann) Collins, 88, formerly of Catawissa and Lightstreet, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Born in Philadelphia on April 3, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Robert DuVall Whann and Helen May (Weitz) Klem.

Audrey attended West Philadelphia schools and continued her education at beauty school. She found great joy in being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She also enjoyed bingo, cards, and attending church, most recently at Calvary Baptist Church of Bloomsburg.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Collins, who passed away in 1999.

Surviving Audrey are her children and a large extended family.

Audrey’s services are private and at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Shriners Children’s Philadelphia, Office of Philanthropy, 3551 N.
