Hazle Marie Balducci, 88, formerly of Berwick, died peacefully amongst family on Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was born in Bloomsburg October 9, 1927, a daughter to the late William and Esther (Rupert) Lutz. Hazle was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School class of 1945, where she was a varsity cheerleader and played the clarinet in the high school band. She enjoyed work and having fun spending time with her family and friends bowling, playing pinochle, and serving hot sausage sandwiches at the Bloomsburg Fair. Most of all Hazle loved dancing with her husband, "Baldy." Her family will always keep in their hearts her favorite saying: "Thank you for your kindness." She is survived by her son, Francesco Balducci and wife, Wendy of Gilbertsville; daughters: Nicollette Zimmerman and husband, Robert of Canandaigua, NY, and Donna Rae Dietz of Danville; seven grandchildren: Robert Thomas Zimmerman of CA., Richard James Zimmerman of N.C., Lindsay Kurtz of Watsontown, Danielle Dietz of Danville, Douglas Dietz of Mifflinburg, and Amanda and Jessica Balducci, both of Gilbertsville. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren. As well as her parents, Hazle was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Francesco Balducci, brother, Wiliam Lutz, Jr., sister, Jean Lutz Iverson, and her beloved niece, Doris "Pinky" Iverson. Visitation is 10:00-12:00 noon Friday, August 5 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. Pastor Darlene Little of First Presbyterian Church will conduct Hazle's funeral service immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
