Hazel S. Klinger, 86, of Orangeville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Born in Berwick on September 18, 1938, she was a daughter to the late Harold E. and Lulu (Schenck) Search, Sr.
Hazel wed William Klinger, Jr. on February 18, 1956. Together, they raised their family and shared 41 years of marriage. For more than 35 years, Mrs. Klinger worked at Lady Esther Lingerie Corp., from which she retired. She was a talented seamstress. Her love of sewing didn’t end with her shift. She quilted, made dolls, and enjoyed many other crafting projects. Hazel also enjoyed baking. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind and generous woman who was always willing to lend a hand in a time of need.
Surviving Hazel are her children: Dorothy Bath and husband, Rich, Robert Klinger, Dale Klinger, Marie Walsh and husband, John, Debbie DeWald and husband, Fred, and Edward Klinger; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings: Marge and Shirley.
In addition to her parents, Hazle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. William Klinger, Jr., who passed away March 14, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a beloved son, Bradley Klinger, and siblings: Harold, Jr. and Irene.
All are welcome to join Hazel’s family for her funeral 11 AM, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Mark Messner of Millville Christian Church will officiate. Her viewing will be from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.
