Grace L. Longenberger

Grace L. Longenberger, 84 of Evansville, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Signature HealthCARE of Bloomsburg. She was born January 26, 1933 in Evansville, a daughter to the late Doyle and Mary (Adams) Keck. Grace attended the one room school in Evansville for a year before continuing her education at Berwick, where she graduated with the Class of 1950. After graduating, she worked for a short time at W. T. Grant then at Lady Esther and Kaydette, Inc. for the next 14 years. She then worked at Berwick Offray from 1999 until retiring in 2009. Grace also sold Tupperware for 21 years. Grace was a member for over 70 years of the Briar Creek Grange #146, the Pennsylvania State Grange, and the National Grange, where she held many offices. She also was a member of the Evansville United Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid Society where she organized hoagie sales, helped with suppers, sang in the choir, and served as Sunday School Secretary for many years. Grace enjoyed doing cross stitching, gardening, and baking. She was well known for her homemade pies. A compassionate, giving, humble, dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Grace will be greatly missed by all her knew her. Surviving Grace is her loving husband of 64 years, Warren, with whom she enjoyed riding across Pennsylvania on their motorcycle in their younger years. Also surviving are daughter, Debra Greenly and husband, Christopher of Evansville, 2 grandchildren: Drew Harmon and wife, Ashley of Numedia and Eric Jaffin of Berwick, great-granddaughter, Malania Harmon, 2 brothers: Dale Keck of FL. and Ray Keck, Sr. of Lime Ridge, and sister, Mary Ellen Farrell of Berwick. All are welcome to join Grace's family at her viewing 10-12 AM Tuesday at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. Pastor Ryan Reigh will serve as the officiant at Grace's funeral immediately following the viewing. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Grace's memory be sent to the Evansville United Methodist Church, 8 Lights Rd., Berwick, PA. 18603.
