Gladys C. Moore, 93, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Danville. Born in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania September 15, 1926, she was a daughter to the late Edward and Catherine (Graham) Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard C. Moore, and her brother, Donald Ward. Gladys was a graduate of Karns City High School, class of 1944. Following high school graduation, she attended Butler School of Nursing. Later, while raising her family, she worked out of her home selling Amway products, and then as a medical secretary for 19 years at the Berwick Hospital, retiring in 1990. Gladys was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Berwick. She was an avid reader and maintained a strong interest in current events and politics. She enjoyed watching Fox News and was a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump. Gladys also considered herself quite the foodie and loved going out for dinner. She loved taking long walks for exercise and was a member of Silver Sneakers at the Berwick YMCA until she was 90 years old. Her greatest joy was her family, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, by whom she will be sorely missed. Surviving Gladys are her children: Dr. Robert G. Moore, Sr. and wife, Edwina, of DE, Cynthia L. Cutrufello and partner, Vincent Fayock, of Danville, Gregory R. Moore, Esq. and companion, Ruth Nicdao, of NJ, and Wendy E. Molino and partner, Dike Stoe, of Drums, grandchildren: Joselle Cutrufello, Dr. Paul Cutrufello and wife, Vicky, Robert Moore, Jr. and partner, Samantha Findley, Kristen Schattgen and husband, Kyle, Christian Molino, and Nicholas Molino, and great-grandchildren: Paul Thomas and Roman Cutrufello, Chase Schattgen, and Cassidy Hill. Gladys is also survived by her companion of 13 years, Henderson Kacyon. All are welcome to join Gladys's family for her memorial service at 2:00 PM Friday, November 29 at the First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Market Street, Berwick. Friends and family will be received from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Bill Klebe will officiate. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, is private.
