Gilbert C. Knorr

Gilbert C. Knorr, 74, of Poughkeepsie, NY and a Danville native, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Born in Danville on July 16, 1948, he was a son to the late Clair Elmer and Helen Jane (Berger) Knorr. Mr. Knorr graduated from Danville High School, Class of 1966 and continued his education at Williamsport Area Community College, from which he graduated in 1968. He had been a longtime employee of IBM, retiring after 40 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, Gilbert enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Phillies fan. He had also been a racehorse owner. Surviving Gilbert are his brother, Edward Knorr (Susan), nieces: Katherine and Kelly Knorr, and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Knorr was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Jane Temple, and his nephew, Christopher Temple.
