George W. Ising

George W. Ising, 80, of Berwick, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Jersey City, NJ on May 14, 1944, he was a son to the late George and Helen (Schmalberger) Ising.

Following his graduation from high school, George proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. On April 15, 1967, he wed the love of his life, the former Gail B. Coffman. Together they raised their family and shared 47 years of marriage. George worked for the United States Postal Service for nearly 30 years. He enjoyed collecting antiques and walking his dog. He relished time spent gathered on his front porch with his family and friends, by whom he will be greatly missed.

Surviving George is his son, George E. Ising of Berwick, and his brother, Peter Ising of Jersey City, NJ.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gail B. Ising, son, Daniel Ising, daughter, Jamie Ising, and brother, Jeffrey Ising.
