Mrs. Gail L. (Rhinard) Timbrell

July 2, 1940 — November 28, 2017

Gail L. Timbrell, 77, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Born in Bloomsburg July 2, 1940, she was a daughter to the late Theron and Ruth (Shannon) Rhinard. Gail was a 1958 graduate of Berwick High School where she served as captain of the cheerleaders. She also was a graduate of Bloomsburg State Teachers' College with a degree in elementary education. Most of her teaching years were spent as a 6th grade teacher in the Hazleton School District. An active member of the Berwick Christian Church, she served as treasurer for many years. Gail enjoyed the 1950's era rock and roll music. She also was known for her good cooking. A kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Surviving Gail is her loving husband of 14 years, James Timbrell. Also surviving are sons: Richard Sorce of Berwick and Gregory Sorce of Palmyra, grandsons: Alex Sorce of Connestoga, Dominic Tongel of Berwick, and Richard Sorce of Berwick, and brother: David Rhinard and wife, Carol, of FL. All are invited to join Gail's family for her funeral at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 2 at the Berwick Christian Church, 701 East 5th Street, Berwick. Her viewing will be 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial is at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. Pastor John Hill will serve as the officiant. Memorial contributions in Gail's name may be made to the Berwick Christian Church. The Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
