Frederick A. Knight, 77, of Huntington Mills, passed away peacefully Friday, December 7, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born March 6, 1941, he was a son to the late Elmer and Ethel (Steinert) Knight. Fred was a graduate of Danville High School, Class of 1959. Following graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a machinist for Dana Corp. for more than 25 years and retired from there in 2000. He was a life member of Shickshinny American Legion Post 495. Fred enjoyed the outdoors, feeding birds, fishing, and gunsmithing. He was also known for his ability to fix nearly anything. His greatest joy, however, was his family, by whom he will be sorely missed. Surviving Fred is his loving wife of 22 years, the former Joan Karchner. Also surviving are children: Antony Knight and wife, Yvonne, of Danville, Sonja Ulrich of Catawissa, Richard Knight of Shippensburg, Sherry Campbell of Berwick, and John Hower and fiancé Beth Enterline, of Berwick, grandchildren: Alicia Eisenhauer, Nicole Knight, Zuri Knight-Conrad and husband, Andrew, Talitha Jordan, Nadine Knight, Naomi Young and husband, Justin, Felicia Weisbrod, Acetyn Starr, Zina Knight, Maria Knight, Rachel Knight, Clarissa Fox, and Laurel Knight, great-grandchildren: Aliyah Curio, Miley Jordan, Blakeslee and Sawyer Young, Autumn and Cameron Michael, Lucas Knight, and Ryan and Lola Temple, siblings: Milton Knight, Luther Knight, and Josephine Koser and husband, Carl, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by sons: Andrew Knight and Frederick Knight, Jr., and siblings: George Miller, James Knight, David Knight, and Jack Knight. All are welcome to join Fred's family for his memorial service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 15 at Orangeville United Church, 223 Main Street, Orangeville. Pastor Mark Rowell will officiate.
