Fred D. Creasy, 88, of Berwick, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his home. He was born July 19, 1928, a son to the late William F. and Mazie (Mensch) Creasy. Fred proudly served in the Army. Afterward, he spent most of his working life as a mechanic at the former Berwick Industries. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work, hunting, dogs, and NASCAR racing. His favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He also was a lifetime member of the Eagle Hose Company. Surviving Fred are his daughters; Randy Sharrow of Berwick and Connie Bower and husband John, also of Berwick, granddaughters; Melanie Karpinski and husband David and Theresa Curry and husband Steve, and great-grandson; Joey Bankes. Fred was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen Creasy. He was also preceded by granddaughters Jennifer Bower and Angela Sharrow and numerous brothers and sisters. Fred's funeral is 11:00 AM Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Michael Delp will serve as officiant. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery.
