Franklin D. Setzer

Franklin D. Setzer, 73 of Berwick, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born January 30, 1943 in Berwick, a son to the late Harry and Beatrice (Fish) Setzer. Franklin worked for years as a salesman in the home construction and remodeling business before his retirement. He enjoyed little league baseball, the Philadelphia Phillies, traveling, and caring for his pets. He especially liked to people-watch at Walmart. Franklin was a real people person who enjoyed the company and love of his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving Franklin is his loving wife of 50 years, the former Nancy Button, daughters: Elaine Smith and husband, Jim of Wapwallopen and Shelli Setzer and husband, Greg Bower of Bloomsburg, son, Stephen Setzer of CA., and his "pride & joy" grandchildren: Aaron Grasley, Derek Smith, Matthew Setzer, Brooke Smith, and Mitchell Setzer, brother, Henry Setzer, and his "best friend" Jack Russell Terrier, Cody. As well as his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Ruth, Janet, and Betty and brothers: Harry, Wesley, and Donald. Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions to defray funeral expenses can be sent to the family.
