Franklin H. Drumheller

June 17, 1940 — November 21, 2013

Franklin H. Drumheller, 73, of Berwick, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his residence with his family at his side. He was born June 17, 1940 in Nescopeck, the son of the late Charles and Fannie (Brown) Drumheller. A crane operator and finish carpenter, Franklin worked for years at Whittiker (Forge) and Naugle\'s Lumber. He served his country for seven years in the National Guard. Franklin was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed family activities which included fishing trips to Canada. Hunting, working on old cars, NASCAR, and the Phillies were among his favorite pastimes. Surviving Franklin are his loving wife of almost 53 years, the former Leanna Markle, 3 sons: Kevin and his wife, Sallie of Berwick, Kent and his wife, Lucinda of Benton, and Brian and his companion, Amy of Berwick, 2 daughters: Lorie and her husband Brian Torsella of Berwick and Lynne and her husband, Pete Talanca of Berwick, 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and special nieces who had lived with Franklin and Leanna: Holly Markle and Brittany Wildoner. As well as his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by brothers: Charles and Wayne. His funeral service will be 6:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2013 at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East 3rd St., Berwick. Friends can call at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until time of the service. Chris Berner will serve as the officiant.
