A lifelong member of Immaculate Conception B.V.M. Church (St. Mary's), Chick actively served his church community as an usher, a member of parish council, and head of the finance committee. Chick was the chief cashier for bingo, the fish dinners and the church picnic. In the 1970's, he coached youth basketball and was a Cub Scout Cubmaster for St. Mary's Cub Scout Pack. For many years he chaired or served on the planning committee for the BHS Class of 1946 reunions, which led to weekly class breakfasts that he faithfully attended until this past year. His affiliations include being a member of the Elks and being a Third Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. All who knew Chick knew of his love of football, especially the Berwick Bulldogs and Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
