Frances ´Fran´ Lee (Fink) Kirchdoerfer

Frances Lee Kirchdoerfer, 96, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Berwick April 1, 1923, she was a daughter to the late Harold and Lena (Hicks) Fink. Frances was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1942. She had worked for many years at Wise Foods and later at the First Presbyterian Church Nursery School. A woman of great faith, she belonged to the First Presbyterian Church in Berwick her entire life. She taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir, and was a member of the Women's Circle. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and attending class lunches. Frances loved spending time with her family, by whom she will be sorely missed. Surviving Frances are her children: David Kirchdoerfer and wife, Susan, and Alison Hause and husband, Walt, grandchildren: Brett Hause and wife, Chrissy, Karen Dermes and husband, Nick, and Sarah Neidig and husband, David, great grandchildren: Hailey, Alexis, Kane, Mollie, Emma, Maggie, and Casey, sister: Mary Ann Marshman, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Albert Kirchdoerfer, who passed in 2008. Also preceding her were brothers: Harold Fink, Jr. and Jack Fink and grandson: Daniel Kirchdoerfer. All are welcome to join Frances's family for her funeral 11:00 AM Thursday, October 17 at the First Presbyterian Church, 320 N. Market Street, Berwick, PA 18603. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Her pastor, Reverend Stephen Engelhardt, will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fran's name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church at the above address or to the McBride Memorial Library, 500 North Market Street, Berwick, PA 18603.
