Faye H. Stout, 90, of Berwick, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Berwick Retirement Village, where she had resided briefly. Born in Berwick June 3, 1929, she was a daughter to the late Howard and Edna (Hess) Hutchings. Faye was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1947. She had worked at Charlie's Meat Market, the tax office, and sold Avon cosmetics. She married the love of her life, the late Frederick Stout, on May 9th, 1951. They were married for 53 years, until Fred's passing in May of 2004. Faye was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. It was here that she was married, served in the church choir, taught Sunday school, and was active with United Methodist Women. Faye loved spending time with her family and friends, by whom she will be deeply missed. Faye is survived by her son: Brian Stout and wife, Susan, of Orwigsburg, granddaughters: Elizabeth Stout of Berwick and Alexandra Celli and husband, Michael, of Berwick, great-granddaughter: Sofia Celli, sister: Ruth (Hutchings) Steward of Berwick, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Faye was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hutchings and sister, Marion (Hutchings) Moharter. As a consequence of current pandemic restrictions, Faye's interment at Rose Lawn Cemetery is private. Her memorial service will be announced at a later date.
