Eugene S. Adams

Eugene S. Adams, 78, of Berwick, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Berwick October 18, 1940, he was a son to the late Donald W. Adams and Ida (Boone) Lupini. Eugene attended Mifflinville Schools and then proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He later worked in the maintenance department at the BIDA. Following his retirement, Eugene kept himself occupied by working as a farmhand. He was an avid fisherman, and spent many days on the Susquehanna River with his friends. He also enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Eugene's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving Eugene are daughter: Patricia Strzelecki and husband, Paul, of Bloomsburg, grandchildren: Chantell Wech and husband, Brandon, of Philadelphia, Elizabeth Strzelecki, and Gabrielle Strzelecki of Bloomsburg, great-grandchildren: Russell and Dalton Wech, siblings: Donald Adams and wife, June, of NM, and Judith Kramer and husband, Wayman, of Mifflinville, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Adams. All are welcome to join Eugene's family for his funeral 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 10 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Bob Klingerman will officiate. Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Eugene's family would like to thank Visiting Angels and their compassionate caregivers (Linda, Melissa, Beth and Lizz) for their excellent care and compassion for their father.
