Elva Louise Hart, 75, of Nescopeck, went to her Lord and Savior, peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born June 18, 1938 in Berwick, a daughter to John Allen and Ellen Leona (Gensil) Hampton. A homemaker for most of her life, Elva was a selfless and humble woman who loved the Lord and served her family and others with love and compassion. She made a point of reading her Bible every day. She also was a member of the Eastern Star. Surviving Elva are her loving husband of 55 years, Wallace E. Hart, son, Robert John Hart of Nescopeck, daughters: Laura Penles and her husband, Gabriel of Berwick, and Carla Watts, and her husband, Kevin of Frederick MD., grandchildren: Allison, Ashlee, and Daniel, brother, Gary Hampton of Nescopeck, and sisters: Beverly Farver and Bonnie Wolford, both of Berwick, As well as her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Lloyd, John and Boyd Hampton, and four sisters: Dorothy Kishbaugh, Mildred Glodfelter, Gladys Bankes, and Rose Marie Romania. Per Elva\'s wishes, her services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
