Elmira M. Kishbaugh, 87, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Friday, October 5, 2018 at Berwick Retirement Village II. Born in Berwick May 17, 1931, she was a daughter to the late Oscar and Ellen (Kitzmiller) Lynn. Elmira attended Berwick Area Schools and lived in Berwick virtually her entire life. She was a long time member and Sunday school teacher at Summerhill Evangelical United Methodist Church. She worked as a seamstress at various sewing factories around Berwick, retiring from the Berwick Knitting Mill. As a young girl, Elmira enjoyed writing poetry and playing the guitar. However, a traumatic horse riding incident took those skills and abilities from her. She was never bitter over the loss, and was a loving and positive force wherever she went. Her kind and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving Elmira is her son: Clint Kishbaugh and wife, Cindy, of Berwick, daughter: April Kishbaugh-Leffler and husband, Art, of Berwick, grandchildren: Nathan Kishbaugh, Kristina Kishbaugh, Jason Kishbaugh, Andrea Burkhart, Aaron Evans, and Austin Evans, great-grandchildren: Kat Kishbaugh, Kira Kishbaugh, Nicoli Kishbaugh, Kristen Evans, Farah Evans, Logan Evans, and Flynn Evans, sister: Wanita Young, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elmira was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald L. Kishbaugh, Jr. Also preceding were siblings: Theon Smith, Donald Lynn, Gary Lynn, and Charles Lynn. All are welcome to join Elmira's family for her funeral at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until time of the funeral. Pastor Deb Harvey of Summerhill Evangelical United Methodist Church will officiate.
