Edward ´Junior´ Gordon Hayes, Jr.

Edward Gordon "Junior" Hayes, 75, of Dixon Mills, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at his home. Born in Oxford, AL November 17, 1943, he was a son to the late Edward Gordon Hayes, Sr. and Ella B. (Lockett) Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a retiree of HRI. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving Junior is his loving wife of 60 years, the former Dorothy Mae Porter. Also surviving is son: James Hayes (Maria), of Nescopeck, siblings: Elouise Holmes (Fred) of AZ, Willie Hayes ( Mona) of MI, Elois Holmes (Jerry) of AZ, Bobby Hayes (Susan) of Berwick, Percy Hayes of Berwick, Lillie Dickerson (Jesse) of MI, Linda Brittain (Clarence) of AZ, Nellie Parks (Willie) of AZ, Rickey Hayes (Renee) of Berwick, Stanley Hayes (Carla) of Berwick, Anglie Adams (Tom)of AZ, five grandchildren: Josh, Jesse, Taylor, Ericia, and Angela Hayes, one great-grandchild: Asher, and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. In addition to his father, Junior was preceded in death by son: Jimmy Lee Hayes on May 26, 2013. All are welcome to join Junior's family for visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, December 7th at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Junior's funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, December 8th at Spirit Life Church, 1338 Rear Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg. Pastors Timothy Zimmerman and David Brady will serve as the officiants. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park.
