Edward J. Donnelly, Jr., 70, of North Centre Township, died suddenly August 4, 2025. Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 22, 1954, he was a son to the late Edward J. and Alice (Phillips) Donnelly.
Mr. Donnelly was a graduate of Berwick Area High School, Class of 1971. For many years, he was employed by Datacom. Later, he worked at Del Monte Foods (formerly Heinz), from which he retired in 2017. On July 4, 1987, he wed the former Patricia Fish, with whom he would raise a family and share 38 years of marriage. Ed was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing with all of his children and hunting with Ashley and Edward. Running was another of his favorite hobbies, a passion he shared with his daughter, Tiffany. He was a member of the Berwick Ramblers and participated in numerous races, especially enjoying the Run for the Diamonds. In his later years, he enjoyed league bowling.
Surviving Ed are his beloved wife, Patricia E. (Fish) Donnelly; children: Ashley Graaf and husband, Michael, of White Haven, Tiffany Arner and husband, Cody, of North Centre Township, and Edward Donnelly III and girlfriend, Cheyanne Albertson, of Orangeville; grandchildren: Evan, Connor, and Abigail Arner; siblings: Colleen Hittle and husband, Jim, of Lansdale, Jerry Donnelly and wife, Sandy, of VA, and Neal Donnelly and wife, Celeste, of Shickshinny; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his ever-present dog, Bella, who accompanied him on many adventures.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by brothers: John Donnelly and Jimmy Donnelly.
All are welcome to join Ed’s family for his memorial service 7 PM Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Rick DiLena will officiate. Friends will be received from 5 PM until the time of the memorial service at 7 PM. Ed greatly enjoyed time spent with family and friends on the Susquehanna Warrior Trail. Memorial contributions to help support the trail may be made to SWTC, PO Box 54, Shickshinny, PA 18655.
