E. Jane Hough, 72 of Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly at her home Friday, December 2, 2016. She was born September 11, 1944 in Berwick, a daughter to Robert Hidlay, Sr. and the late Violet (Monroe) Hidlay. Jane proudly worked for years as a Certified Nurse's Aide at the John Heinz Institute of Rehabilitation in Wilkes-Barre and was a member of the Town Hill United Methodist Church. Christmas was Jane's favorite time of the year. She would Christmas shop practically all year and elaborately decorate her home as December approached. Jane also enjoyed trips to Penn's Cave, picnics at covered bridges, attending the Bloomsburg Fair daily, "coupon shopping," and spending time with her grandchildren, especially when watching her granddaughters play basketball. Her most memorable trip was a vacation to Hawaii with her family. A kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and caregiver, Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew her. As well as her father, Jane is survived by her loving husband of 5 years, Bart F. Hough, Jr. Also surviving are her son, John Fogg, Jr. and wife, Maria of Beach Haven, daughters; Brenda Hook and husband, Charles of Berwick and Tina Betcher and husband, Jon of Montoursville, 10 grandchildren: Kevin, John Paul, Annette, Jessica, Janelle, Mandy, Justine, Charlie, Kaela, and Hunter, 8 great-grandchildren: Owen, Jordan, Gage, Connor, Liam, Kyle, Martina, and Bowie, brother, Robert Hidlay, Jr. and wife, Marion of Huntington Mills, 3 sisters: Becky Ensminger and husband, Bob of Harrisburg, Betty Spencer and husband, Arif of Shickshinny, and Ruthie Fedor of CA. Visitation is 7:00-9:00 PM Monday, December 5 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. Jane's funeral is 11:00 AM Tuesday at Kelchner's. Pastor Stephen Portner of Bethany United Methodist Church will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
