Dorothy L Sheep

Dorothy L. Sheep, 87 of Berwick, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Berwick Retirement Village I, where she was a resident. She was born March 3, 1928 in Berwick, a daughter to the late Charles Frank and Gertrude Alverta (Whitmire) Lutz. Dorothy worked for years at the former Consolidated Cigar Company in Berwick. Her family, especially her grandchildren, was what meant most to her. She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, cooking and baking. Most notably, she baked more than 200 cookies that were sent to our troops during the Gulf War in 1990 by way of Operation Cookie. Dot was a loving and selfless woman who devoted much of her time to helping others. Surviving Dot are her children and spouses: son: Donald H. Sheep, Jr.( Steven Lindenmuth), Bloomsburg; daughters: Denise Watts (Richard), Berwick and Deborah Steward, Allentown. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Mandy and Christopher Schell and great-grandson: Jaeden DeLarge, all of Berwick. Dorothy's funeral service is 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 15 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. Friends may call from 9 until time of the service. Pastor John Hill of the Berwick Christian Church will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to either the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA. 22311, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
