Dorothy Janette (Sharrow) Edwards

Dorothy Janette Edwards, 93, of Lime Ridge, passed away peacefully Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Gardens at Orangeville.  Born in Lime Ridge on July 13, 1927, she was a daughter to the late Fred and Anne (Millington) Sharrow.

Dorothy was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School, Class of 1945.  On April 19, 1947, she wed the love of her life, the late Paul Atlee Edwards.  Together they would raise their family and share 61 years of marriage.  Dorothy worked for many years at the Glenn Edwards Studio, where she honed her skills as a photograph retoucher and photographers assistant.  She had been a long time member of the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church.

Surviving Dorothy are her son:  Craig Sharrow Edwards and wife, Laura Mae, of Lime Ridge; grandchildren:  Chad Edwards and wife, Tina, of Casper, WY, Cory Edwards and wife, Lori, of Durango, CO, and Nicole Morris and husband, Ronnie, of Lime Ridge; great-grandchildren:  Darian Edwards, Destiny Edwards, Crosby Edwards, Rhys Edwards, Justice Edwards, and Atley Morris; and sister:  Linda Fedder of Lime Ridge.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Atlee Edwards, who passed on May 4, 2008.  Also preceding her was her brother, Harold Sharrow.

All are welcome to join Dorothy’s family for her funeral at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, 6405 4th Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.  Pastor Vincent Keister will officiate.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at Lime Ridge Methodist Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name can be made to Beyond Violence, 212 West 11th Street, Berwick, PA 18603.  The Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Edwards family.  Online messages of comfort and support can be left at www.kelchnerfuneralhome.com.
