Dorothy O'Neal

Dorothy E. O'Neal, 92, formerly of Berwick, died peacefully Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Berwick Retirement Village II, where she was a resident. She was born April 11, 1922, a daughter to Roy and Bertha (Stevenson) Sitler. Dorothy was a seamstress for most of her working life. She was a quiet and loving woman who enjoyed camping, cooking, sewing, and any activities that included her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving Dorothy are her son, Gary A. O'Neal and his wife, Sandra, daughter, Cynthia Garrison and her husband, David, grandson, Gary O'Neal, Jr., granddaughter, Nikki Riddle, and three great-grandchildren, all of Berwick. As well as her parents,she was preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Sitler, sisters, Irene Yeager and Martha Knecht, and half sister, Rosalie Harner. Her funeral service is 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24 at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East 3rd Street, Berwick. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Pastor Michael Delp, Chaplain at Commonwealth Home Health & Hospice, will serve as the celebrant.
