Dorothy I. Lesher

Dorothy I. Lesher, 89, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Friday, December 14, 2018 at Berwick Retirement Village II. Born in Bradford December 5, 1929, she was a daughter to the late Harry Bitler and Irene (Stout) McHenry. Dorothy attended Berwick Area Schools. She was employed by National Select in Berwick, where she worked as a quiller until her retirement in 1992 and was a member of First Reform United Church of Christ in Berwick. Dorothy was a hardworking woman known for her feisty demeanor. A devoted mother, she loved spending time with her family. Additionally, she enjoyed a great love for Bingo and was a regular at many of the local halls. Surviving Dorothy is daughter: Cindy Deck and husband, Jeff, of Orangeville, grandchildren: Jerry Mack and wife, Rita, of Hegins, Jamie Mack of Mount Carmel, Gary Parks of Mount Carmel, Megan Linebach and husband, Joe, of Richland, and Erin Deck and husband, Adam, of NC, great-grandchildren: Renae, Kenneth, Ryder and Heaton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by siblings: Loie Kautraskus, George Bitler, and Harold Bitler. All are welcome to join Dorothy's family for her memorial service 11:00 AM Saturday, January 12 at First Reformed United Church of Christ, 301 W. Second Street, Berwick.
