Dorothy (Jean) Carter, 79, of Bloomsburg, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at Berwick Retirement Village II. Born in Benton, February 27, 1939, she was the daughter of Mary Isabel (Lockhoff) Beishline Phillips, Danville, and the late Fred C. Beishline. She will be reunited with her husband, Joseph A. Carter, who passed away on August 26, 2014, after 57 years of marriage. Following graduation from Bloomsburg High School in 1957, she worked as a secretary in various offices in Berwick and was last employed by Impact Systems, Inc. in Hazleton for 11 years while living in Drums. Jean enjoyed her family and home, reading, music, and traveling. Surviving in addition to her mother, Isabel, are her three children: Kim Carter, Laurie Waskiewicz and husband, Tom, and Joe Carter, Jr. and wife, Mary, grandchildren: Eric, Beth, Kailyn, Brenton, Karalyn, and Adriene, great-grandchildren: Kellen, Cash, and Quin. Also surviving are sisters: Patricia VanDine, Faye Wolfe, Victoria Bolinsky, and brother: Robert Beishline. Jean's services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the St. James United Church of Christ Cemetery, 443 Zaners Bridge Road, Stillwater, PA 17878.
