Donna J. (Sponenberg) Schell

Donna J. (Sponenberg) Schell, 67, of Berwick, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at Berwick Hospital Center.  Born in Berwick on August 1, 1954, she was a daughter to the late Donal and Thelma (Masker) Sponenberg.

Donna was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1972.   On April 5, 1975, she wed the love of her life, William Schell, Sr.  Together, they shared 46 years of marriage and raised their family.  Donna was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.  She had been employed by Berwick Weaving.  She loved Bingo and was a regular at the games at the Nescopeck Volunteer Fire Co.  She had also been a social member of Berwick VFW Post 821.  Donna loved spending time with her family, by whom she will be missed.

Surviving Donna are her children:  William H. Schell, Jr. of Berwick, Dawn E. Bewley and husband, Joseph, of Catawissa, Theresa A. Schell of Berwick, Christopher D. Schell of Berwick, and Kyle M. Schell and wife, Brittany, of Berwick; her 8 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, sister-in-law, Donna Sponenberg, and numerous cousins.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Schell, Sr., who passed away November 20, 2021.  She was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild and her brother, Roland Sponenberg
