Donna Jean (Kindig) Klinetob

Donna J. (Kindig) Klinetob, 83, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Monday, March 4, 2024 at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Berwick. Born in Berwick on August 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ivan R. and Lovina E. (Whitmire) Kindig.

Mrs. Klinetob was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1958, and continued her education at Binghamton Business School. On July 2, 1960, she wed Max L. Klinetob, with whom she would share 57 years of marriage. Donna worked at Wise Potato Chip Company prior to assuming the role of mother and homemaker, a role that she deeply cherished. She was a member of Summerhill E.U.M. Church, where she fulfilled numerous roles, and Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 228 Berwick. She was also a member of the Summerhill Fire Co. and regularly helped with the carnival and donuts. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and playing piano. Donna loved arts and crafts including painting, tole painting, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and ceramics. She also collected carousel horses and Santa Claus figurines. Her greatest joy was her beloved family, by whom she will be deeply missed.

Donna is survived by her children: Christy Klinetob, Michael Klinetob and wife, Phyllis, and Matthew Klinetob, all of Berwick; grandson, Michael Logan Klinetob; and granddaughter, Emersyn Lee May.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Max L. Klinetob, who passed away April 19, 2018.

All are welcome to join Donna’s family for her funeral 11 AM Friday, March 8, 2024 at Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Max Sitler will officiate. Friends will be received from 5-7 PM Thursday, March 7, 2024 and from 10 AM until the time of her service on Friday, March 8, 2024, both at Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. Interment at Summerhill Cemetery will follow. Memorial contributions in Donna’s name may be made to Summerhill E.U.M. Church, 157 Twin Church Road, Berwick, PA 18603.
