Donald Raymond Mcafee

Donald Raymond McAfee, 89, formerly of Berwick, passed away peacefully Friday, July 3, 2020. Born in Berwick on September 13, 1930, he was a son to the late Raymond W. and Anna E. (Foley) McAfee.

Don was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1950. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy after High School. Don was a longtime employee of Wise Foods in Berwick. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, the Elks B.P.O. 1138 in Berwick, and the West Berwick Hose Company. Don loved both playing and watching sports. At Berwick High School he participated in both varsity basketball and football. He could be seen in attendance at many games for the Bulldogs throughout his life. Recreationally, he played basketball, baseball, softball, bowling, and golf, the latter well into his later years.

Surviving Don are his son: Donald Stephen McAfee and wife, Kim, of MA and grandchildren: Nicholas, Andrew, and Grace McAfee.

In addition to his parents and a close cousin, Richard Foley, Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia who passed on May 30th of this year. His persistent dedication to her throughout their 65 years of marriage and during her lengthy decline in health was a testament to Don's dedication and commitment.
