Dean Allan Holloway, 65, of Mifflinville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
Born on March 5, 1961, in Bloomsburg, Dean was the son of the late Jack G. and Lavena M. (Price) Holloway.
Dean attended Central Columbia schools before serving his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked for DFC Foods and Gatorade.
An avid outdoorsman, Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. He had a special love for his dogs, many of whom accompanied him on hunting adventures over the years: Harley, Hunter, Shooter, Gunner, and Tito. Dean was also known for his knack for fixing things and could often be found tinkering in his garage. He cherished spending time with his longtime friends and, in his earlier years, enjoyed riding his Harley.
Dean’s greatest memories were made through the simple things he loved, the time he spent with those closest to him, and the many stories and memories he leaves behind.
He is survived by his companion and friend, Lesa Pursel; his daughter Kristen Holloway, of Mifflinville; his stepdaughter, Danielle Moore, of Ellijay, Georgia; his beloved grandchildren, Jennika and Logan; and his siblings, Cindy Rinker and her husband, Frank, of Bloomsburg; Douglas Holloway and his wife, Joann, of Nescopeck; Lori Laubach and her husband, Butch, of Mifflinville; Lisa Prosceno and her husband, Dwayne, of Lime Ridge; and Paula Young of Mifflinville. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Dean will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dean’s name may be made to Rescue Pets Serving Vets, 4793 Red Rock Road, Benton, PA 17814.
