Dawn Elaine Bennett, 88, of Bloomsburg, passed away February 2, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville. She was born March 13, 1929 in Berwick, a daughter to the late Elmer and Ida Mae (Collins) Frantz. Dawn graduated from the South Center High School, and spent most of her adult life as a devoted housewife. She was a homebody who loved her family dearly. Gardening, cooking, going on picnics and corn roasts, watching softball games, and observing the wonder and beauty of nature were among the things Dawn enjoyed. However, her love of God and family were most important to her. A humble, self-sacrificing , and loving woman, Dawn will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving Dawn is her loving husband of 62 years, Elmer Bennett, Sr. Additionally, she is survived by son, Elmer Bennett, Jr. and wife, Becky of Bloomsburg, granddaughter, Jessica Bennett of Berwick, great-grandson, Nolan Smith of Berwick, brother, Elmer Frantz, Jr. and wife, Gail of Bloomsburg, and sister, Beverly Cleaver and husband, Jeff of Mifflinville.
