David E. Slusser

David E. Slusser, 59, of Benton, died Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Born in Philadelphia on June 7, 1966, he was a son to the late Edward and Shirley (Young) Slusser.

Mr. Slusser was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, Class of 1984. Following graduation, he proudly served in the Army National Guard. Dave was a long-time employee of Heinz Pet Food (and its successors) in Bloomsburg, from which he retired in 2017. He was a hard worker who was always willing to pick up an extra shift if someone was needed. He loved wolves and anything wolf-related; figurines, pictures, and apparel included. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, and pickling vegetables. Dave also loved NASCAR with his favorite driver having been Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

Surviving Dave is Brenda Kulp, his fiancée and companion of the past 24 years; son, Brandon Slusser and fiancé, Brandi Andrews, of Waverly, NY; step-children: Shannon Kulp Aucter and husband, Jay, of Milfflinville, Bobby Jo Kulp and companion, Tom Dzoch, of Shickshinny, Cindy Hess and husband, Bryan, of Stillwater and Dwayne Kulp and Isiah Kulp, both of Benton; and grandson, Braydon Slusser.
