Dale L. Lynn, 83 of Berwick, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Berwick Retirement Village II, where he had resided for the past seven months. He was born in Nescopeck June 17, 1931, a son to the late Charles E. and Dora (Smith) Lynn. Dale graduated from Berwick High School and worked for years until his retirement at Wise Snack Foods in Berwick. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Berwick, Eagle Hose Company #2 of Berwick, the Wise Foods Quarter Century Club, and a Life Member of the Berwick Elks. Dale was an avid golfer and fisherman. He also enjoyed bowling, gardening, observing hummingbirds, and rooting for the Eagles, Phillies and Berwick Dawgs. He treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. It brought him great joy to share his knowledge and teach them not only about the things that interested him, but also many of life's lessons that are so important. Surviving Dale are two sisters: Metta Ent of Mifflinville and Kaye Brown and her husband, Jim of Havertown, a brother: Charles Lynn and his wife Jean of Berwick, sister-in-law, Pat Lynn of Berwick, and many nieces and nephews. As well as his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Joyce Lynn, Norma White, and Clara Pettit and two brothers: Jay and Drue Lynn. Dale's funeral is 12:00 noon Saturday, April 18 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Dennis McCracken of Calvary United Methodist Church will serve as the officiant. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of the service. The Berwick Elks will conduct a memorial ceremony for Dale prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park.
