Clifford K. Bath, 94, of Berwick, passed away Monday, September 19, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his family. He was born March 1, 1922, a son to the late Clinton Bath and Mary (Edwards) Davenport. Clifford was a graduate of Scott Township High School, Class of 1940, after which he was employed by American Car and Foundry Co until he enlisted in the U.S. Army in September of 1942. He was assigned to the 210 Signal Depot Co., with which he served until 1945. In 1946, he married the love of his life, Ruth. Clifford then attended the Indiana Institute of Technology, graduating with a BS in mechanical engineering in 1949. Following graduation, he was employed at New Holland Machine Co of New Holland and later served as chief engineer at Wise-Borden Inc. in Berwick until his retirement in 1986. Clifford was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Berwick since 1951 and served on the board of trustees. Additionally, he was a member of the Berwick Lions Club, a 25 year member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and a board member of the Berwick Public Library. Surviving Clifford are three daughters: Nancy Jacob and husband, Larry of Plainview, NY, Sandy Foreman and husband, David of Bloomsburg, and Brenda Sandberg of Yardley, grandsons: Matt Jacob and wife, Lauren, Eric Jacob, Andy Foreman and wife Judy, Justin Foreman and his wife, Miki, and Rhys Sandberg, great-grandson: Mason Jacob, and great-granddaughter: Lindsay Jacob. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death in 2009 by his loving wife of 63 years, the former Ruth White. Clifford's funeral will be held at noon on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Interment will follow at Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg. Services will be officiated by Pastor Vince Kiester.
